Live-action "Attack on Titan" movie cast updated

Attack on Titan cast

On Wednesday in Japan, the official website for Shinji Higuchi's live-action movie adaptation of Attack on Titan (out 2015) was updated with a full cast list.

Back in April it was announced that Haruma Miura will star in the film. Today's new additions include Hiroki Hasegawa, Kiko Mizuhara, Kanata Hongo, Takahiro Miura, Nanami Sakuraba, Satoru Matsuo, Satomi Ishihara, Pierre TakiJun Kunimura, Shu Watanabe, Ayame Misaki, and Rina Takeda. Unfortunately, their specific roles were not revealed in the announcement.

The film stars Ainosuke Kataoka as a younger version of Umezu as a young book editor named Sakura Wakakusa (Mimi Maihane) delves into his past relationship with his late mother and its impact on his subsequent work as a horror manga pioneer. As the investigation continues, bizarre incidents begin occurring one after another.

The official website for "A Courtesan with Flowered Skin" (Hanayoi Dochu, out Nov 8, 2014) has been updated with a new full trailer.

The film is based on a prize-winning novel by Ayako Miyagi which was later adapted to a manga that went on to sell over 300,000 copies. Yumi Adachi stars as a girl named Asagiri who was raised as a prostitute in Yoshiwara, knowing neither joy or sadness. She looks forward to the end of her apprenticeship when she can live that life behind for good, but that changes one day when she falls in love with an artisan named Hanjirou (Yasushi Fuchikami).

The official website for Michihito Fujii's "Phantom Limb" has been updated with a new 90-second trailer.

Based on a novel by Soji Shimada, the film stars Ryo Yoshiki as a medical student named Masato Kanbara who is involved in a serious accident which leaves him seriously injured and his girlfriend Haruka (Mitsuki Tanimura) dead. Afterward, he suffers from severe depression due to memory loss and doctors begin treating him with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). However, once he begins the treatments, he starts having visions of his dead girlfriend.

The official website for Mari Asato's upcoming live-action adaptation of Fatal Frame (Zero, out Sep 26, 2014) has been updated with a new 99-second trailer.

The film is based on a popular horror video game series and is being released as part of a wider multimedia project leading up to the release of the next video game release for the Wii-U. Fashion model and tarento Ayami Nakajo plays Aya Tsukimori, a high school student who becomes cursed right before other students begin drowning in the area. Aoi Morikawa co-stars as Michi Kazato, another student who begins investigating the disappearance of her friends.

The official website for "Mahoro Eikmae Kyoso-kyoku" (out Oct 18, 2014) has been updated with a new trailer. The film is a follow-up to 2011's "Tada’s Do-It-All House" and the 2013 TV Tokyo drama "Mahoro Ekimae Bangaichi".

In the movie, Tada (Eita) and Gyoten (Ryuhei Matsuda) babysit Gyoten's daughter Haru while investigating a mysterious organization called the Home Health Food Association (HHFA) which threatens the suburb of Mahoro.

A new trailer has been released for Yu Irie's live-action movie adaptation of "Hibi Rock" (out Nov 22, 2014).

Based on a manga by Katsumasa Enokiya, the film stars Shuhei Nomura as a young man named Takuro Hibinuma who finds his true calling as a member of a rock band after leading a life of mediocrity. After graduating from high school, he and his band "The Rock 'n' Roll Brothers" relocate to Tokyo and begin playing live shows. One day, Takuro meets a pop star named Saki Utagawa (Fumi Nikaido) and his fate is irrevocably altered when she asks him to write her a song.

The film stars female comedian Miyuki Oshima as a socially awkward man named Tatsuo Fukuda, aka "Fuku-chan", who lives in a rundown apartment complex. His friend Shimacchi (YoshiYoshi Arakawa) is always trying to set him up with his wife's friends, but for a reason he initially keeps secret, he has no interest in dating.

One day, Fuku-chan is reunited a former junior high school classmate named Chiho. Chiho was his first love, but when she participated in a prank on him, his ability to interact with women was severely impacted. When they meet again, Chiho recognizes a quality in Fuku-chan's face which makes him the perfect muse for her budding photography career.

Based on a manga by Akiko Higashimura, the film stars Rena Nounen as an aspiring illustrator named Tsukimi Kurashita who lives in an apartment building called "Amamizukan" with other like-minded otaku women. Tsukimi's particular otaku obsession is jellyfish, which she has loved since she was a child. One day, Tsukimi befriends a young woman at a local tropical fish shop who turns out to be a cross-dressing young man named Kuranosuke. And because men are not allowed at Amamizukan, Tsukimi keeps Kuranosuke's gender a secret from her neighbors.

Soon, Amamizukan is threatened with demolition and Kuranosuke begins helping the girls become successful in order to save their beloved home.
