The official website for Taisuke Kawamura's live-action movie adaptation of Princess Jellyfish has been updated with a 49-second teaser trailer.
Based on a manga by Akiko Higashimura, the film stars Rena Nounen as an aspiring illustrator named Tsukimi Kurashita who lives in an apartment building called "Amamizukan" with other like-minded otaku women. Tsukimi's particular otaku obsession is jellyfish, which she has loved since she was a child. One day, Tsukimi befriends a young woman at a local tropical fish shop who turns out to be a cross-dressing young man named Kuranosuke. And because men are not allowed at Amamizukan, Tsukimi keeps Kuranosuke's gender a secret from her neighbors.
Soon, Amamizukan is threatened with demolition and Kuranosuke begins helping the girls become successful in order to save their beloved home.
